With two decades of award winning programme making experience in both factual and current affairs in the BBC, New Red’s primary goal is to be a content creator across a range of platforms, locally, nationally and internationally.
Brendan McCourt is a former BBC journalist and filmmaker based in Belfast who heads NewRed TV. He is a twice RTS (Royal Television Society) Award Winning Producer and director, (2015) BAFTA Nominee (2009) and an AIB winner (2014). His background and interest is in factual and current affairs investigation, crime, politics and human interest, drama and digital content.
Rodney has over 25 years programming experience with expertise in multiple platforms including PC, Mobile and modern game Consoles. He has developed a wide range of software such as web applications, programming languages, epos systems, games, AR and VR simulations. He has experience working with advanced hardware including the Xbox Kinect sensor, EEG Headsets and the Oculus Rift. Rodney also works as a college lecturer.
Vlad is a passionate and self-motivated designer with over 15 years of experience both in game and commercial projects. A qualified architect with a flair for 3d design, Vlad is a strongly knowledgeable and innovative 3D modeller with extensive commercial and artistic experience
Bernadette Morris started out her career as a script supervisor on ‘Ros na Rún’ but quickly made the transition into Production, working with various companies, Eo Teilifís, Forefront, Magma and Tell a Fish before taking a full time position with Stirling Film & Television. Having worked on both Drama and Documentary series both English Language and Irish language – Bernadette has shown great flexibility and ability to work on both genres.
Steven is an MA graduate working as an AP/researcher. With experience in casting, writing pitches, working on location with talent, developing stories and dealing with contributors he is keen to progress within the field of television production.
Thirty six years experience at BBC Belfast editing a wide variety of programme genres. Offline editing, Finishing and Grading. Became freelance in 2015. Credits include, Panorama, Spotlight, The One Show, Wanted Down Under, The Arts Show, Real Lives Reunited, The Blame Game, House of the Year. Off the Beaten Track.
Andrew is a qualified solicitor and for many years was a partner in a prominent Westminster law firm. He then joined Planet 24 (producers of The Big Breakfast and Survivor) as Director of Legal and Business Affairs where he advised on all programme and corporate matters.For the last six years, Andrew has been providing business affairs advice to many of the leading television production companies in Northern Ireland.
